We are just four days away from the cutest Pirate Pictures Ever! If you have not emailed me, please let me know if you would like a 15 minute pirate session for this Saturday, January 9th from 9-2. I will have Downtown Dogs selling Pet Pirate Costumes, DKM selling adult shirts/jewelry, Hadley LLC selling pirate shirts for adults/kids and Kooky Kidz selling kids pirate clothing. The Tampa Junior League will be selling their cookbooks and I will have Marie's Organic Pirate Jellies/Jams on hand for free samples/to purchase. So get ready to shop and have some pirate fun!

Wow! Welcome to 2010 everyone! What a great year it is going to be! So I took a much needed vacation (well, I actually did three beach sessions and a few newborn sessions but who is counting).
I hope that everyone had a great holiday season!
I wanted to give you the skinny on my 2010 Pirate Fest! I have already booked a good amount of sessions for January 9th so please email me ASAP with your requests for a 15 minute Pirate Session! The sessions will be at my studio on Jan 9th from 9-3. It is a 15 minute session for $50.00. You get a free digital file and one 8x10 or two 5x7's. Your children and or pets are welcome! I will have some outfits on hand, but please bring some cute pirate stuff for your cutie pies! I have some great vendors offering pirate clothing (kids and adults) like DKM and Kooky Kidz, jewelry, door signs and even pirate jams/jellies so come ready to shop from 9-3. The Junior League of Tampa will be there selling their cookbooks too! The best part is that some of the children and pets will be able to be on my float in the Gasparilla Childrens Parade scheduled for January 23rd at 3:30p.m. Each vote will cost $5.00 in which 100% of the money collected from the votes will benefit the local Ronald McDonald Houses of Tampa Bay. If you cannot make it for a session on Jan 9th, I will have 15 minute pirate sessions for the contest from Jan 4th-Jan 20th. I hope to see Tampa's Best Pirates in January!

These are my deadlines:
December 5th- All holiday card "completed" order requests must be emailed today before 5:00pm
December 10th- All image requests must be submitted by today before 5:00pm
All orders received after December 10th will not be processed/received until January 2010
Come on .... you can do it! Just believe!

Is it really December (Tampa Child Photographer)

Is your house decorated with the best of the season? Can you smell the Frazier Fur each morning you wake up? Are your holiday cards ready to be sent out? Am I driving you crazy with holiday cheer yet? I truly love everything about December. From my oldest son's birthday to the antlers that hold on for "deer" life as I drive the streets in a mad panic purchasing holiday gifts! As a photographer, I also get to celebrate another year of amazing images, and the end of the holiday craziness. I am just amazed at how other photographers find the time to keep their blogs updated; especially from October-November.
So just last Sunday, after doing an eight hour wedding on Saturday, I was at Giggle Box taking Santa Photos. I have to tell you that I had my own personal Polar Express (one of the best movies ever so I highly recommend that you purchase it). The Santa that I worked with was the most amazing person that I had ever met. He is a Santa 365 days a year (yes, at the end, I did "believe"). The images are just amazing, and Santa thank you! People tell me all of the time how much fun I must have- and yes, it is the best job in the world. But do you know what truly energizes me- the compliments that I get from my clients! I love to listen to the comments made by people as they leave their session- just yesterday (taking more Santa Photos at Junior League) I heard one mom telling another mom how great I am with children- that the smiles I get from kids are not posed, but true candid giggles that only come from a crazy photographer. You see, these are my ah-ha moments- and as I wrap up my 2009 Holiday Photo Season, I realize that I never really grew up- Santa will always remain in my heart, and I will always be a giggling child behind my camera!

Black Friday Specials (Tampa kid and pet photographer)

Oh we are so close to Thanksgiving- I just love the smell of my house on Thanksgiving Day! This year, I have convinced (I think) my family to do a quick 5K with me. After running the half marathon on Sunday, I am ready to do something short and sweet. I was 40th out of 600+ women on Sunday in which I have to admit (do not think I am a jerk) that I did not even train for it. I did one 10 mile run, and still paced at a 8:49mile.
So in the spirit of Black Friday, please feel free to send me an email with a free wallet request on Friday only. Also, since my studio will be closed until Monday (a ton of on-location sessions and a 8 hour wedding on Saturday), please just mention Black Friday when you come to my studio the entire month of December. You will get a set of free wallets from any session plus 10% off of any purchases from my three vendors- Two Swings Studio, Kerri's Kreations and Hadley LLC. These are purchases that must be made at my studio.

Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirates Life For Me (Tampa Gasparilla Photographer)

I know what you are thinking.... it is only November, and we have two months to go until the Gasparilla Children's Parade. Well, as a photographer, we must always think ahead (my holiday sessions started in July if this gives you any idea of time). This is my ad for Tampa Bay Parenting that will hit on December 1st. Many thanks to my models and especially the amazing clothing by Kerri's Kreations!

So do you want your child to be on my float this year? I will have 15 minute pirate sessions in January. The cost is only $50.00 for one 8x10 or two 5x7's plus a free digital image. Did you see how cute the pirate necklaces are? I have to give a big thanks to the girls of Sweet Whimsy for these amazing necklaces! I am now taking 15 minute session requests for Saturday, January 9th from 9-3. I will have a contest to raise money for the Ronald McDonald (4 local houses) House. The contest will be during the month of January so make sure your cute little pirate(s) gets in for a session- I will give four children the chance to be on my float this year (plus one parent). My biggest thanks go to my assistant Caroline for working 10+ hour days, and putting up with the craziness that the holiday season brings- you are the best Caroline! She is my graphic designer, and is just super great!

Thanksgiving is just two weeks away....where in the world has 2009 gone? Have your ordered your holiday cards and holiday portraits yet? I have to tell you that I think the shorter winter days just make people go insane- dark afternoons and less hours are not a good combination (especially for photographers). I wanted to thank everyone that stopped by my booth at the Junior League Holiday Gift Market- it was a pet lovers and baby lovers paradise (kids paradise too with all of my ring pops). I will still honor my gift certificate special for all of my blog readers- if you spend a minimum of $100.00 on one gift certificate, I will match half of your amount for that one gift certificate (ex: pay $100.00, you get $150.00); no expiration on the gift certificates. I appreciate all of the booked sessions and Milestone Club Card Programs that I have sold after the event- just so great to talk to all of you!
