Summer is almost over- really? (Tampa Children Photographer)

Wow- can you believe it is almost the end of August? I cannot believe how quickly time has passed. Yesterday was the first day of school for my children.... so I thought I would have a nice relaxing day at the spa- right? Not hardly- 7 sessions yesterday and 6 sessions today. Just please be patient with me as I try to edit and post these images. This image is for the September cover of Tampa Bay Parenting- a special thank you for everyone that made this shoot possible (especially the horse stables in South Tampa). More sessions to post in the next few days!

How is your Summer going? I wish that I could say that I have slowed down, but it is just impossible for me to slow down! I have done four triathlons, taken some great family trips and somehow managed to shoot between 6-12 sessions each week- just crazy!

So have you all seen that commercial that says something to the fact of being 5 again- I just love that commercial. I really think they need to change it to being 17 again. I dug deep for my high school senior special (add attached) this time. You see, when I was 17, my best friends and I, went to Sears to get a picture taken of us. Funny thing is that I am still best friends with these girls, and although we no longer go to Sears, we have some great pictures to look back on. I am offering a best friends session (guys and girls) to any High School Seniors (Class of 2011). We can do the session at my studio, Ybor City or I have a super cool spot that I am keeping a secret (the session in the ad was at my secret spot). The best part is you only pay one session fee so the more friends you bring, the more money you will save. Each of you will get one free jpeg to Face Brag- how cool is that! We have some great graduation announcements which I know is hard to think about since you have not even started your senior year! Wow! What a HOT Summer already here at the studio- things are heating up (just another excuse as to why I haven't added to my blog lately). So I sent out the news today to all of my clients about the Matilda Jane Model Search/open house at my studio next Friday, May 21st from 2-7. Within minutes, I had already booked 10 sessions- my clients are the best!
With this being said, if you are interested, please get in touch with me ASAP to book your 15 minute session. The sessions will probably be full by tomorrow. The session fee is $50.00 for two 5x7's and a free digital image plus super awesome food from Six Tables. The session will automatically enter you in for a chance for your child (boy or girl) to be the next Matilda Jane model! So I received a call from this client- she wanted a maternity session with her two dogs and her husband. I was completely over-joyed at this request since I love to photograph pets especially when a belly bump is involved. The session was great, the dogs were great and we just had a blast! I wish that I could post all of the images since the expressions on the dogs' faces are just hilarious! I cannot wait to meet the new Two Legged Creature that should be arriving very soon!

Well, in the past few days, I have done one maternity session, three newborn sessions, a 5 month session and a 7 month session (oops and 5 corporate head shots). I wanted to welcome Baby "M"! At one week old, he was the best sleeper ever! Just gotta love nature! I know I keep on repeating myself, but we have some really cool things to hang babies from in Tampa! I got this bamboo stick from my backyard! This image is a display print that I just put up at The Royal Tea Room. If you have not had the chance to visit The Royal Tea Room in South Tampa, it is the perfect place for Baby Showers and Bridal Showers and well.... just an afternoon tea! Mother's Day 2010 (Tampa Family Photographer)

Oh yes, the most wonderful holiday of the year is soon approaching. It's the day when mom's can sleep in, have breakfast made for them, take a nap without feeling guilty and just get a ton of hugs from their children. I wanted to celebrate this day with a great May special. Mom's get a 1/2 hour session plus three mini accordion albums for $80.00 (I call them mini brag books). I cannot begin to tell you how many moms tell me that they are always behind the camera instead of in front of it. I am a Florida native so when I think of Spring- I think of blooming azaleas, warmer weather and the oh so dreaded pollen! The month of March and April was quite challenging for everyone in Tampa- watery eyes and stuffed noses were very pervasive. I wanted to take advantage of some of the beautiful flowers that Spring has to offer so take a look at this image of Baby S- just fantastic! Sorry, it has been way too long since I have posted anything. I just got back from the Disney Cruise (it was just awesome by the way), and I realized how far behind I have gotten with my blog! I was honored to have the cover of Tampa Bay Parenting for April! This image was shot at The Bloom Garden Center. Grace and Trixie were my models. You have seen Trixie before since she is the super model extraordinaire! She was the dog that was filmed last year for TLC (I was the lucky photographer to be on national TV with her). I wanted to let you all know that I will be at Seedlings next month on May 15th for the Third Annual Baby Shower event! It is going to be huge so please bring all of your friends with baby bumps with you! Gotta love this title right? Well it is something that I have been working on for awhile. It is not Bring Your Own Baby, but actually Bring Your Own Branch! I have had a lot of clients walk through the door at my studio asking me to hang their babies during the past year. My marketing attempts have paid off! The image at Silly Dilly Tot Spot, and my marketing cards have a very cute newborn hanging from a branch. In the past week, I have had such a great time hanging newborns from crazy branches. I have been a nature lover since birth so this time of year is the perfect time to bring in your favorite branch! There are some really incredible branches out there with fresh Spring Flowers! Last week, I hung a newborn from a fresh bamboo stalk in which the image is awesome- it will be on display next week at The Royal Tea Room! My ad for Tampa Bay Parenting for April (eek- is it really April already) will give a free one hour session to any newborn 7 days or younger. This is for first time clients only. So come "hang out" with Caroline and myself at the studio- just remember to bring your "super funky" branches! Happy early Spring! Did you book your Bloom Session yet? Just a quick update- I am completely full for Saturday, March 13th (yes, I have 24 sessions booked). Sorry you super cool blog followers- it has been over one week since I have posted anything. I am just having the time of my life with my new outside studio! I think we have every color of the rainbow outside- blue, pink, brown, green, red, orange and today we will finish the yellow wall. Yesterday, I did a maternity session, newborn session and six month old session all with different colors each time! Yes, three sessions in a row- pretty great huh? You just have to stop by and check it out!
I have some dates for you all- tonight, I will be at the Tampa Kids Gym photographing children in their PJ's- can't wait for this!
March 12-13 from 9-2, I will be back at Bloom Garden for my annual Spring Photos in the garden with my dwarf bunny Hummer- kids and pets are welcomed to come (as long as the pets do not eat my rabbit). Oh I have seen some pretty amazing bellies at the studio lately! Thank you to everyone that has allowed me to photograph such an incredible time in your life! I have some super great news at the studio- I have done some awesome updates to the outside studio. I just love really bright colors, and when you are a studio photographer, it can be a challenge to get this done. Well for those of you that love natural light (I do too), you get the best of both worlds with your session!

We will do the traditional stuff inside, and then head outside for my very funky cool walls! I have posted a sample from a session last week.... this "Mommy To Be" used it at her baby shower as a guest book- she will then frame it, and put it in the baby's room- just an excellent idea-huh? It is still cold in Tampa, and I just love it! As a native, I am soaking up every last second of the cold weather! I hope you all are enjoying the cold as well!
I have posted all of the images that were taken on Saturday. If I was not convinced in the past about my clients being super loyal to my crazy events, I am now 100% convinced. Thank you to everyone for coming out in the 30+ degree weather and rain for my Pirate Fest. The images are just amazing, and I am so excited for the contest to start. The pirate images will be posted to the home page of my website today. Each vote will cost $5.00 so please vote for your favorite pirate! The pirates that get the most votes will be on my float in the Childrens Gasparilla Parade on Saturday, January 23rd. Oh yes... no snow or rain can stop the super fun pirate sessions for tomorrow! I have rented a large tent for the vendors so please come and shop the super fun pirate gear! I have three different studios set up for the sessions. 1st studio is walk the plank with a real wooden dock. 2nd studio is an old fashioned treasure chest for you gold hungry pirates. 3rd is an old fashioned oak barrel just perfect for the pirates that are willing to have no fear of heights. I still have some sessions open so just send me an email.
On another note, Valentines Day is almost one month away. For the past four years, I have made personalized Valentines Day cards for kids and/or pets. It's Going To Snow In Tampa (Fun Kids Tampa Photographer)

Oh yes- I am a huge weather freak! My husband makes fun of me all of the time since I tend to be glued to the TV every 9 minutes (thanks Bay News 9). So during my treadmill run today (way too cold for an outside run), they said that we might have a chance of snow on Saturday. So, as the crazy photographer that I am, I automatically assumed that it is going to snow for the Pirate Fest this Saturday. Wow- just super cool! Wow! Welcome to 2010 everyone! What a great year it is going to be! So I took a much needed vacation (well, I actually did three beach sessions and a few newborn sessions but who is counting).
I hope that everyone had a great holiday season!
I wanted to give you the skinny on my 2010 Pirate Fest! I have already booked a good amount of sessions for January 9th so please email me ASAP with your requests for a 15 minute Pirate Session! The sessions will be at my studio on Jan 9th from 9-3. It is a 15 minute session for $50.00. You get a free digital file and one 8x10 or two 5x7's. Your children and or pets are welcome! I will have some outfits on hand, but please bring some cute pirate stuff for your cutie pies! I have some great vendors offering pirate clothing (kids and adults) like DKM and Kooky Kidz, jewelry, door signs and even pirate jams/jellies so come ready to shop from 9-3. The Junior League of Tampa will be there selling their cookbooks too! The best part is that some of the children and pets will be able to be on my float in the Gasparilla Childrens Parade scheduled for January 23rd at 3:30p.m. Each vote will cost $5.00 in which 100% of the money collected from the votes will benefit the local Ronald McDonald Houses of Tampa Bay. If you cannot make it for a session on Jan 9th, I will have 15 minute pirate sessions for the contest from Jan 4th-Jan 20th. I hope to see Tampa's Best Pirates in January!

Is it really December (Tampa Child Photographer)

Is your house decorated with the best of the season? Can you smell the Frazier Fur each morning you wake up? Are your holiday cards ready to be sent out? Am I driving you crazy with holiday cheer yet? I truly love everything about December. From my oldest son's birthday to the antlers that hold on for "deer" life as I drive the streets in a mad panic purchasing holiday gifts! As a photographer, I also get to celebrate another year of amazing images, and the end of the holiday craziness. I am just amazed at how other photographers find the time to keep their blogs updated; especially from October-November.
So just last Sunday, after doing an eight hour wedding on Saturday, I was at Giggle Box taking Santa Photos. I have to tell you that I had my own personal Polar Express (one of the best movies ever so I highly recommend that you purchase it). The Santa that I worked with was the most amazing person that I had ever met. He is a Santa 365 days a year (yes, at the end, I did "believe"). The images are just amazing, and Santa thank you! People tell me all of the time how much fun I must have- and yes, it is the best job in the world. But do you know what truly energizes me- the compliments that I get from my clients! I love to listen to the comments made by people as they leave their session- just yesterday (taking more Santa Photos at Junior League) I heard one mom telling another mom how great I am with children- that the smiles I get from kids are not posed, but true candid giggles that only come from a crazy photographer. You see, these are my ah-ha moments- and as I wrap up my 2009 Holiday Photo Season, I realize that I never really grew up- Santa will always remain in my heart, and I will always be a giggling child behind my camera!

Oh we are so close to Thanksgiving- I just love the smell of my house on Thanksgiving Day! This year, I have convinced (I think) my family to do a quick 5K with me. After running the half marathon on Sunday, I am ready to do something short and sweet. I was 40th out of 600+ women on Sunday in which I have to admit (do not think I am a jerk) that I did not even train for it. I did one 10 mile run, and still paced at a 8:49mile.
So in the spirit of Black Friday, please feel free to send me an email with a free wallet request on Friday only. Also, since my studio will be closed until Monday (a ton of on-location sessions and a 8 hour wedding on Saturday), please just mention Black Friday when you come to my studio the entire month of December. You will get a set of free wallets from any session plus 10% off of any purchases from my three vendors- Two Swings Studio, Kerri's Kreations and Hadley LLC. These are purchases that must be made at my studio.

I know what you are thinking.... it is only November, and we have two months to go until the Gasparilla Children's Parade. Well, as a photographer, we must always think ahead (my holiday sessions started in July if this gives you any idea of time). This is my ad for Tampa Bay Parenting that will hit on December 1st. Many thanks to my models and especially the amazing clothing by Kerri's Kreations!

So do you want your child to be on my float this year? I will have 15 minute pirate sessions in January. The cost is only $50.00 for one 8x10 or two 5x7's plus a free digital image. Did you see how cute the pirate necklaces are? I have to give a big thanks to the girls of Sweet Whimsy for these amazing necklaces! I am now taking 15 minute session requests for Saturday, January 9th from 9-3. I will have a contest to raise money for the Ronald McDonald (4 local houses) House. The contest will be during the month of January so make sure your cute little pirate(s) gets in for a session- I will give four children the chance to be on my float this year (plus one parent). Thanksgiving is just two weeks away....where in the world has 2009 gone? Have your ordered your holiday cards and holiday portraits yet? I have to tell you that I think the shorter winter days just make people go insane- dark afternoons and less hours are not a good combination (especially for photographers). I wanted to thank everyone that stopped by my booth at the Junior League Holiday Gift Market- it was a pet lovers and baby lovers paradise (kids paradise too with all of my ring pops). Oh yes- what a weekend! It is Tuesday, and I am still recovering! A very special thank you to all of my loyal clients. The Saturday Holiday sessions were just great! I am so lucky to have the opportunity to see each family come back for these special sessions. The Bay to Bay stroll was so fun with a lot of traffic. One nice gentleman took the opportunity to thank me- to tell me that it was the best thing that has happened to his neighborhood in a long time! What a nice compliment-right? The holiday images are now up for viewing.
Sunday was truly amazing! I had the opportunity to photograph a ton of beautiful princesses at Seedlings. Marlene, the owner of Seedlings, and her crew were just great to work with! I got my girl fix since some of these little girls just melted my heart. The images will be up by this evening. I have already received a lot of emails from anxious mommies so just hold on for another hour. It is well worth the wait- these images are so incredible!
One huge announcement if you are a loyal blog stalker.... I will be in the Childrens Gasparila Parade this year. Oh yes, it is only October, and my float has been reserved. So you know how much I like contests....
You will have to check back for the contest details as I finalize them. I can tell you that the lucky winners will actually get to ride on my float this year- what a dream for any child-right? I will also have a special party for all of the contestants so stay tuned......

What a week! A very special thank you to all of the children and parents at The Palma Ceia United Methodist Day School. This is my third year taking these images, and honestly, I think I have more fun than the children! I truly appreciate all of the amazing compliments from the parents. Thank you for the very fast emails with your orders as well! I am truly blessed each year with this opportunity! I was able to post around 300+ images each day (actually within 5 hours of the sessions) with the wonderful help of my assistant Caroline. I have to tell you that I have booked some amazing vendors... they are going to offer great pre-holiday merchandise to you all! Super, Gigantic Awesome News (Tampa Maternity Photographer)

Drum roll please..... you all know that I love belly bumps and babies right? Well for the past few months I have been losing sleep over how to make my maternity clients happy (it is a 24/7 thing when you own your own business). Introducing the most awesome thing ever to come out of my brain (what a weird thing to write). I have a new on-line baby registry. My light bulb went off during the Summer when I was doing a maternity session. I wanted to surprise the parents-to-be with a sign-the-print guest book idea. Then it occurred to me- you can get so overwhelmed with registering for baby bottles, crib bedding that you forget to register for the memories. You might get a blanket that Aunt Jane took hours to create (yes, always bring these to the sessions with you), but the clothing, baby bottles and everything will eventually get old and discarded- photos never get worn out and you never get tired of seeing them. My new line is: You've Registered for the Necessities, Now Register with me for the Memories!
I have to tell you that my web designer put a ton of work into this new program for me- so a big thank you to Leigh Lambert! I will be doing some great promos for this new program. I will kindly ask other photographers to be fair in not copying my website site design/information for this program. My ad in the October issue of Tampa Bay Parenting will have more details! Oh I forgot to mention that this new program will allow anyone to purchase gift certificates even if you don't have a belly bump (well actually you might if you are a dad wanting to get a gift certificate for your wife- Fall Football TV time + leftover Halloween Candy + great beverages = a nice dad belly bump). Well- did you have a nice week? I feel like Delilah on the radio- I just love her show! So do you want to know what my week was like? I did my 7th triathlon of the season (got 5th place), had 11 photo sessions- yes- 11 photo sessions and my oldest son got Star Student of The Week - what a great week for one crazy girl Nicole Geller!
I have a few updates: if you still want to a pumpkin patch session next week at Bloom (Sept 26 from 9-2) please email me ASAP. I have filled 17 spots- I only have 5 left. These are 15 minute sessions for $35.00. It is a fundraiser for the Childrens Home!

I am so sorry for not posting my sessions as promised. I had 10 sessions last week (corporate head shots, high school senior sessions, a maternity session and Tampa Bay Parenting tryout sessions). I am so sorry that I have posted anything lately. I have so much exciting news... but I wanted to post my new rep card program for the high school seniors. Each senior session comes with 50 free rep cards so you can give them to your friends. Best of all, each friend that comes in with your card gets you one credit. If you earn 10 credits, you get a $50.00 gift certificate to anywhere that accepts gift certificates or you can be super cool and take those 10 friends bowling or to the movies- fun huh? I am back from vacation! I have already done 4 sessions since Saturday, and I just received great news today! The Learning Channel (TLC) will air the pet photo session that I did back in the Spring. It will be on this Wednesday at 9:00pm. I cannot believe it! Trixie, the Italian Greyhound, has been my client for over two years now, and she is just great to photograph! If you get a chance, please tape it for me since I will be at The Hula Bay Club for a girl's night out shopping event from 5:30-8:30pm. I am just amazed with my crazy thoughts that come to me around 2:00 in the morning. As most of you know, I really do not sleep that much anyway so it should come as no surprise that I do my best work in the very early morning hours. My teenboard tryouts begin next week, and I wanted to throw a little teaser out there to the Class of 2010. Email me with your session time/date request, and also include the craziest (but safe) on-location spot to do your session at.
From all of your requests, I will select the coolest location, and your session will be free (you will get a free entry into the teenboard program). Your best friend will also get the session for free!
Ok- so is this a cool idea or what? I am also doing a contest like this for a free Family Holiday session this year. As you know, I like to have themes for my holiday sessions. I have a two part theme this year that I will announce in a few weeks so please check back. So, if you have a really fun family that wants to capture a super cool place in Tampa for your holiday session please email me ASAP (date/time/location). As I am sitting here, in my cabin in North Carolina, looking out over a very calm lake, I realize that Fall will be here before I know it. Well it is only a matter of time before the craziness will begin (especially since I have been booking Fall sessions for the past few weeks). I wanted to give you all an early schedule of my "On-location" sessions. I will have more sessions to announce as I book them with my favorite places. My teenboard tryouts run from August 20th-September 30th. The storybook contest runs from October 1st-31st.

Nothing is "finer" than being in "Caroliner". Just one day here, and I have already seen the sun kiss the moon in the mountains on my six mile run this morning. I still have not figured out how I can run, and carry my three Canon Cameras at the same time. I am just so captivated at what beautiful images are out there at 6 o'clock on my morning runs- if you have any ideas how I can combine my two favorite passions please let me know!
I have had a fair amount of questions about my new storybook contest that will take place Oct 1-31. It is a one hour session for $80.00. The first 10 sessions booked will get a free photo necklace from Sweet Whimsy (you gotta hurry on this). After the contest is over, author Christa Carpenter (Nicholas That's Ridiculous) and illustrator M. Wayne Adams will select their favorite images. You will be notified if your child was selected for one of the next three children's books that Christa Carpenter is currently writing. It will be an illustration of your child in the book. Can you believe that August is here? What have you been up to? Well, my activities have not slowed down. Yesterday, I did my 5th triathlon of the season, and loved it! I got 4th in age group (and 3 seconds behind 3rd). Over 60 women in my age group- my ankle strap was yanked off of me during the swim, and a very nice person put it on my running belt for the run- I have no split times except for the 8 minute mile slow run for me. I had a great article in the pet section today of the Tampa Tribune talking about my new teen board program, and another one to hit the St. Pete Times this Friday. I am heading to NYC tomorrow to study under two amazing photographers, back on Wednesday, three photo sessions until I then head to North Carolina for a final Summer vacation August 8th-15th. Yes- this was my official last session at the studio that was in my home. It was very special to me since Ms. L's mommy is Aly Zamore. She is the owner of Divine Events. I have had the pleasure of working with Aly for over two years now. She actually came to my new storefront studio on Friday (4220 W. Bay to Bay), and took charge of the move-in process. I cannot thank you enough for all of my girlfriends that helped me out last week! The studio is up and running- I have had 3 sessions there this week already- 6 more to go until the week is over. Yes- it is official. I moved this past Friday! If you haven't seen it yet, please stop by to see my new "Pink" building. It is at 4220 W. Bay to Bay Blvd (next to Estealls, it was originally the Pink Pineapple). I had my first session yesterday- it was just perfect! I wanted to post the images from my last two sessions that I did last Thursday. This first set is of sweet Ms. "S"- how cute is she? I have two full walls of props for girls in my new studio- yes, I love to dress them up (after all, when you have boys, the only one that I can dress up is Carl- my dog, which yes, he is a boy too). I am amazed and honored with everyone that reads my blog, and calls me if I post anything at all! Well .... I have some super great news! I just signed my lease for my new studio storefront! It will be at: 4220 W. Bay to Bay Blvd. The perfect location for my business!

I fell in love with it from the second I walked inside! I cannot believe that I will be taking my two studios and making them into four! I wanted to keep it a surprise until the August issue of Tampa Bay Parenting hits, but I just couldn't keep it a secret any longer. So you might be concerned that my prices will go up, and I will be a bored photographer at my new studio. Well I have been working on two super programs for the entire summer (hence no blogging time). My studio fees will stay $80.00/$100.00, and my packages will still be very reasonable.

The Tampa Bay Parenting Ad will feature my new contest from Oct 1-31. Can you believe how busy I have been with these super fun images? Oh so many new things at Nicole Geller Photography! I have the most awesome new 2010 Senior Program that has taken me forever to develop. Stay tuned for details that I will post in the next few days! It is a program that no one has ever developed, and I hope that no one steals!

Well.... I have to admit that I really miss adding to my blog each day. I am just having such an amazing Summer, and the days are really flying by! I have had so many great sessions the past few weeks- from gorgeous maternity images to babies to families on the beach to corporate head shots. I wish that I could post them all, but I am still going to hold off until August. I have so much exciting news, but I am going to wait to post it until August so you will have to check back. I can share one piece of awesome news- I will be in New York city August 4-5 shooting with some of the industry's best photographers- it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I am thrilled to be amongst the elitist group that will be in New York on these dates! So it is Summer time, and I am feeling this great wave of relaxation come over my shoulders- well, I am not taking a break from doing photo sessions, but I am taking a break from being a "blog slave"- I cannot seem to find the time to add to my blog each day. My two little guys are out of school, I am training for more triathlons (I've done three since April- I will be doing the 1/2 Ironman in November), and I am really trying to just edit sessions and complete orders. So I will still blog some sessions, but not all of them.

This session was from last weekend- oh how I love a gorgeous family that is so wonderful to photograph! They even smiled at all of my crazy things that I did! Thank you "W" family for a great session!

Where in the world has this week gone? In an effort to save time, I have selected my three most favorite images from my beach sessions last weekend. I have had another week of double photo sessions so I am just coming up for air now. I am just so thankful for everyone that makes my life that much better by allowing me to capture their memories. I still find myself getting butterflies before the session, and goosebumps as I edit the images after the session.

I have always wondered where people came up with the name "toe-head"- I did a google search this morning only to find a somewhat boring explanation. This has been a great week of double sessions (and three beach sessions for tomorrow- eek).

I have had every type of session this week from newborn to pets to head shots to children- just loving it all!

This was such a wonderful couple to photograph with their two boys! I truly loved how "in love" they were with their children! There is just something so special about the relationship between pets and their owners- and I get to capture it! Thank you

I have to admit that I tend to fall in love with each subject during my pet sessions. Leo was no exception to this rule since I could have photographed him for hours! He was my model for my Father's Day Special coming up, and just so wonderful to photograph! Thank you guys for allowing me to capture your baby! It Was A Red Carpet Night for the Junior League of Tampa

I know that I tend to blog a lot about the Junior League of Tampa! I guess when you really believe in something, you want everyone else to hear about it! I had so much fun photographing them like a Paparazzi on Tuesday night! The girls walked the red carpet, and I got to photograph them. It was really like what you would see on TV. Beautiful girls, super cool dresses and just so much energy! I loved seeing the friendships between these women- just reminds you how important it is to have girlfriends to laugh and have fun with! Thanks once again The Junior League of Tampa! A special congrats to Heather V and her crew on an amazing job with planning this event- well done!

Oh and he looks so much like his daddy! I have already photographed this little guy four times since he was born, and I still cannot get enough of him! His mommy dresses him so cute, and we just had a ball! This was such a great six month session- and he only pee'd once on my suitcases! I know what you are thinking.... Mother's Day has not even passed yet, and Nicole is already thinking about Father's Day. Well, that's that life of a photographer. Last week I did a session for Holiday Cards- crazy huh? I am already planning my holiday sessions so please remember to book early! Every year my husband asks for two gifts for Father's Day. One, well you know what it is, and I cannot put it in my blog. Second, he always wants a nice print of our two boys and Carl (our dog). I would much rather photograph your children since my children already know all of my tricks! I am offering a great deal for Father's Day- $40.00 for a 30 minute session and any print of your choice (8x10 or smaller). These must be weekday sessions, and you must bring your husbands tie (don't ask why). Please email me quickly since my clients have already been asking me for this! Spring is in the air, and I have had so many new clients this month. Is it me or are my clients just getting more and more beautiful to photograph? Seriously, I sat behind my lens during this session thinking perfect smiles, perfect skin, amazing eyes, and they were all so nice to work with! Triathlon season has started!

Yes, I will still post my sessions from last week, but I wanted to post the results from the St. Anthony's triathlon that I did today. Do you ever wonder if it wasn't meant to be when you show up at a race? Well- this race was definitely one of those that I was ready to turn around and drive home. I picked up my race packet yesterday with my oldest son throwing-up in the car (horrible ear infection), screaming at the top of his lungs, and some very nice people to watch him while I racked my bike. This was my third year of doing St. Anthony's, and I have been training since my marathon in March. I showed up this morning to find out the swim was cancelled due to the bad conditions (and I love the swim). I forgot my large water holder for my bike, and had a horrible stomach problem that brought me to a port-o-let with no toilet paper. After spending 15 minutes in the port-o-let, with my racing suit around my ankles, begging for any stranger to bring me something that resembled toilet paper, I found some poor girl that could not even look at me in the face. I received a nice 2:00 minute penalty since I dropped my pathetic water bottle right when the USAT guys were driving by. So, yes, the race was actually enjoyable. I did not hit my goal of 8 minute miles, but I came pretty darn close. The point of this blog is to give everyone a really nice laugh- especially if you have done a race before when everything goes wrong. Julie C- I forgot to mention about us relieving ourselves before the race between the two trucks with all of the guys doing the same thing!

Caleb You Warm My Heart!

There is just something so special between people and their pets. I am fortunate enough to see that relationship each time an owner comes into my studio with their pet. Caleb and his mommy were no exception! The love that she has for him is just so unconditional. He was just great in front of the camera- so many great images! I had such a nice Sunday morning with the "S" family at Picnic Island. The kids loved all of my crazy toys, and I loved watching them giggle! Junior League- Teddy Bear Tea Images Are Up!

I joined the Junior League of Tampa five years ago. If you want to meet amazing women, and volunteer for some great causes, I would highly recommend joining the league! Each year, I have the great pleasure of photographing the children that come to the Teddy Bear Tea event. They are asked to donate a teddy bear for other children that might not have one. What a year for "Mr. B"

He's the youngest of three, and I am so proud of his mommy for purchasing my Milestones Picture Plan! By the third, I think people just tend to take less pictures (like my parents did). I have enjoyed this year so much photographing him! From newborn, to 3 months to 6 months and finally one year- just wonderful! I have to admit that "Mr. B" really enjoyed the cake that I made for him, and his big sister promised to help him eat it! See the bottom image with the extra large cupcake- how cute is he! Here she is! I just love my "Milestones Baby Plan" since I get to see the "family" through all of the changes during the first year! The images start with an amazing maternity session of the mommy- just a perfect belly. This is one of my signature poses that I created, and worked on for awhile- you have to find a "mom to be" that is willing to do anything. Then the newborn session- I like how we posed her to see the info on her blanket. Next are the six month images- oh how I love the six month session. So I have had a fair share of elephant ears in my lifetime, but Ms. "A" beat me to the chance to taste my rabbit's ears- they probably taste like chicken! With each 6 month session, I ask the parents to bring in fancy pants (diaper cover) with the first initial of the baby's name. This makes for such cute images! I am so glad "B" that you were able to do this. I now have a great seamstress for any future sessions! Don't you just love how she is posing herself on the ground- just a born model! A great 6 month session- see you all in a few months!

Oh just gotta love a house full of girls- right? I am not sure what this is like since I am the only one with ovaries in my house. Can these two little girls get any cuter? Seriously, I have known their mom for over two years now and they all seem to get cuter each time I see them (especially Little Ms. "L" the newest member of the "Z" family).

Hello there Mr. Blue Eyes! Aren't you just gorgeous! I have been photographing Mr. "J" for over one year now. Spring has Sprung for the "K" Family! Congrats on the birth of Baby "A"!

You might recognize these girls from a few sessions back. It is so great to do a maternity session, and then meet the new little one! So take a look at the first image.
